Wednesday in Mrs. Bognetti's Class
This morning we wrote about different ways to have fun while planting a garden. Then, we learned our vocabulary words for the story Pumpkin Fiesta. We read and discussed the story. Then, after music and gym class, we drew pictures showing the meanings of some of our vocabulary words. We also matched the words to their definitions. We completed our DLP and talked about possessive nouns. This afternoon we took a math test on tens and ones and regrouping. Then, we learned how to add tens. The students do have math homework. In Social Studies, we learned about taxes and services that are paid for by tax dollars. On Friday, we will have a Junior Achievement program come in and teach the students more about taxes, goods, services, and our community. In Science, we re-read our lesson about the rain forest and made a pop-up display. The students do have two worksheets for homework. Don't forget that the spelling packet is due tomorrow.
