We have a Science Test tomorrow on Animals! Don't forget to re-read and study with your child tonight. This morning we talked about words with -air and -are in them. We completed an activity in class. Then we did a "Making Words" activity to spell our spelling words using the same patterns. The students finished their worksheet in class. Then, we learned the vocabulary words for the week and practiced those, too. We talked about inferencing while we read. Then, we read our story for this week, Abuela. We learned how to use a glossary to find out what words mean. We did not get to check our DLP today, but we did start an activity using the words see, give, saw, and gave in the correct tenses. The children went to gym and computer lab today. This afternoon, we compared fractions. We learned that when the number on the bottom (denominator) is bigger, the pieces are actually smaller because they are divided up into more pieces. My class does not have homework. Mrs. Walter's class has a game that needs to be played at home with you, but it does not need to be returned. In Social Studies, we re-read our lesson about the 13 colonies and the American Revolution. We watched a movie about both topics at the end of the day.
Don't forget to send in your Box Tops!
