Monday in Mrs. Bognetti's Room
Today we learned about words with the -oo sound that are spelled with -ou and -ough. We completed an activity in class and then introduced our spelling words with the same pattern. We added some words to our Word Wall. We completed our DLP and talked about the present and past tense forms of go and did. We completed two groups of guided reading. Then, in Science, we added to our Woodland Forest posters. We drew animals that live in that habitat. The children have one page of Science homework. After lunch, we read some more of Harry Potter and then practiced a fire drill. In math, we learned about range and mode. The students have one page of math homework. In Social Studies, we talked about civil rights, Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, and Abraham Lincoln. The children were very interested in this piece of history. They started a worksheet with a partner, but need to finish it for homework tonight.
