Today we practiced breaking up compound words into syllables. We had fun clapping out the words, too! Then, we reviewed our vocabulary and word wall words using Power Point presentations. After, we talked about antonyms and words with suffixes -ful and -less. We didn't get to our DLP, but we did do an activity on telling "how many" in words. The students have a spelling word search to complete tonight. Then, we went to the library. After, we completed two centers/guided reading groups. This afternoon, we learned how to check our subtraction by using the inverse operation, addition! Now we shouldn't make any mistakes when we subtract. Most students do have homework. At the end of the day, we went to gym and music.
Don't forget that we have Reading, Spelling and Social Studies tests tomorrow! Please help your child study. Thanks for all your help at home!
