Wednesday in Mrs. Bognetti's Room
We started off today by writing in our journals. Our topic today was, "Acting safe means..." Then, we continued talking about the suffixes -ly and -ing. We practiced our Spelling words by playing an Around-the-World Game. We discussed adjectives that compare things and we also did our centers this morning. Our special today was music. After lunch, Mrs. Barrett read Harry Potter to the class. We started the 4th book today, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! In math, we learned about finding the area of shapes. Students in Mrs. Barrett's math class do not have homework. Students in Mrs. Walter's math class do have homework. We ended the day with Science and talking about plants parts. We did a worksheet and then we did an art project where we made pictures of plants/flowers out of construction paper and labeled each part.
