This morning the students had a substitute because Mrs. Walter and I were helping interview excellent candidates for the new second grade teacher. We will be so excited to welcome another great member to the Wesley Staff! More news will come when final decisions have been made.
The children worked on words with -ame and -ake. The reviewed the word wall words and re-read the story Get Up and Go! For homework tonight, please re-read the story with your child, as there will be a comprehension test tomorrow. The students will be able to use their books. They will also have a spelling test. Please practice the words! The children went to the library for the first time today. They need to return them next THURSDAY. This afternoon in math, we learned how to use patterns to help us add. Most students finished the work in class, but a few have to finish for homework tonight. At the end of the day, they went to music and gym class.
There is a math test coming home today which should be sent back to school tomorrow with your signature on it. Also, it is Bears Day tomorrow...please wear Bears gear or blue and orange! We want to win the Wesley Cup!

Hello. My son is in Mrs. Walter class second grade. Is the homework from your class and her class, the same for the students?
Thank you.
No...not necessarily. The work we do throughout the day is SIMILAR, but what is sent for homework is not always the same.
