We worked hard today! This morning we practiced words with -ied again. We talked about how to compare and contrast things. Since we are reading Frog and Toad, I thought it would be fun to compare and contrast real frogs with toads. We made a chart together using diagrams of each creature. We have also been comparing and contrasting elements in stories during guided reading. We ask how things are the same and how they are different. We reviewed the word wall words using a Power Point presentation. We completed our DLP and re-read our story with partners. Then, we completed three rotations of centers and had Book Buddies. This afternoon, we practiced fact families again. The students are getting to be quite good at it! We completed our work in class. Then, we went to the computer lab to take our MAP tests for math. At the end of the day, we reviewed for our Science test tomorrow. The students have no paper homework tonight. You should review the science and study for the test. We also have a spelling and reading test tomorrow.
I have not received so many Mystery Reader sheets back, so if you are interested, please let me know so I can finalize our schedule!
