Wednesday in Mrs. Bognetti's Class

This morning we wrote about things we like to make, bake, or cook in the kitchen. It was quite interesting! Include your child in the dinner-making process if possible to give some experience with reading recipes and following directions. Then, we practiced words with -our. The children have spelling homework. We re-read the story in small groups and worked on a scavenger hunt. We completed two centers/guided reading groups. We reviewed proper nouns, but they do have one page of that to complete as well. They went to music and gym class. This afternoon, we met with our vocabulary groups and extended the vocabulary words to include synonyms of each word. In math, we countinued to work with money. Most students do have math homework. After, we took our Science test. To celebrate the closure of our dinosaur unit, we watched part of the movie DINOSAUR and discussed possible extinction options. Hopefully we will finish presenting the dioramas by the end of the week so we can display them in the cases in the lobby.
