Tuesday in Mrs. Bognetti's Room

This morning we wrote in our journals. Then, we worked on phonics skills. The students have one spelling page for homework. Then, we reviewed our vocabulary words and re-read the story Anthony Reynoso: Born to Rope. The students have a scavenger hunt to finish for homework as well. We completed three guided reading groups. The students went to music class. In Social Studies, we completed a chart on Native American groups. Then, we read about some artifacts in the Smithsonian Institution. The students do have one page of S.S. homework to finish tonight. After lunch, we learned about adding 3-digit numbers again in math. We regrouped to the hundreds column. The students do have math homework, too. In Science we learned about food chains and talked about animals' needs. We completed all of our work in class. At the end of the day, we learned the cursive "y". If you have an extra Kleenex box at home, we would appreciate it if you could send one to school as we are officially out of tissues! All those winter colds have wiped us out! Thanks!
