Monday in Mrs. Bognetti's Room

We accomplished a lot today! This morning we talked about friendship and what good friends always do. Then, we discussed the three different sounds -ed can make on the ends of words. We completed a workbook page together and then introduced the spelling words with the same pattern. We completed a spelling workbook page, too. Then, we did two sentences of DLP today and talked about elements in a paragraph. At the end of literacy, we talked about the differences between commands and exclamations. The children went to art class. This afternoon we practiced silent reading and we read some more of Harry Potter. In math we learned how to solve problems by drawing a picture. We worked with a partner, too. Then, we took a math test on skills in Chapter 2. In Social Studies, we talked about different communities, made a flash card for the word community and completed a worksheet together. Overall, there is no "homework", but spelling and vocabulary words can always be practiced!
