Today was flashlight day! We learned a lot with our flashlights! First, we read with a buddy in the dark. Then, we read a lesson in Science about light. We did an explore activity to see what happens when you shine a flashlight in a mirror. Then, we made shadow puppets with the projector to see what happens when light is blocked. Most students finished their lesson outline in class, but some need to finish for homework. Thanks for helping us learn by sending in flashlights!
We also worked with our phonics pattern today, reviewed our vocabulary words, and re-read Dinosaurs Travel. We completed a scavenger hunt and then went to the library. Then, we had centers/guided reading. In Social Studies, we learned about timelines. We started making a class timeline before we start on our own timelines tomorrow. In math, we learned how many sides and angles shapes have. Most students have one page of math homework.
Tomorrow is G Day...please send your child to school in something GREEN tomorrow.
