Monday in Mrs. Bognetti's Class

We accomplished a lot today! This morning we wrote about things we do when the weather is hot and dry. Then, we read a story about a time it didn't rain for three weeks and we talked about how the characters felt when it finally did! After that, we talked about singular words that end in -f or -fe that need to be changed to a -v before adding -es to make them plural. We completed a workbook page and introduced the spelling words with the same pattern. We corrected two sentences of DLP today, talked about personal stories, and words that tell how many. We went to art class. After lunch, we silent read. Then, we took a math test today on subtraction and problem solving. In Social Studies, we read lesson 5 on trading goods, made vocabulary cards and completed a worksheet in class. A note is coming home today to let you know which pages need to be reviewed for our test on Friday. We will send the vocabulary cards home as soon as we finish them. Then, we worked on our map skills and used a map key.

Reminder: If you would like to send in Valentines tomorrow, make sure there is one for each child in the class!
