Thursday in Mrs. Bognetti's Class

This morning we started by talking about compound words-two words that are put together to make one. We clapped them out in syllables and decided that we divide them between the two base words. Then, we talked about inferencing, practiced our vocabulary and word wall words. After library, we wrote facts on the board about whales that we read in books. Then, we began writing non-fiction paragraphs. We will finish them tomorrow. In math, we practiced double-digit subtraction. Most students have homework. At the end of the day, we went to gym, music, and celebrated a classmate's birthday.

Don't forget there are Reading, Spelling and Science tests tomorrow! Study! Study!
