Thursday-Miss Calderone's class

Today we began our day correcting our D.L.P. and writing in our April journal. We used the word wall words to write sentences and then shared what we wrote. Before we finished we had a bus evacuation drill. The students did a great job listening to the bus driver. When we came back we had snack and learned a new cursive letter; F. We then partnered up and did an Abuela scavenger hunt. We looked through the story and found the vocabulary words, plural nouns, and Spanish words! After that we independently finished a grammar sheet and then finished the morning with 3 centers. After lunch we read Harry Potter and then switched for math. We reviewed probability and then practiced making lists of numbers. We finished math playing some probability games on the Internet. We had a lot of fun! We then had science. We reviewed erosion and made a web on the board about ways that rocks can erode. We then practiced erosion by rubbing rocks against sand paper. We watched as the rocks got smaller from the rubbing of the sand paper. Our day finished with P.E.

The homework for tonight is to read Abuela and study for the test, finish your spelling packet and study for the test, and also complete math 26-4 and study for the math tests. Lots of tests tomorrow but everybody will do fine! Also please remember to turn in your sock hop form and yearbook form if you plan on going.
