Wednesday--Miss Calderone's class

Today our day began with correcting our D.L.P. and then we jumped right into centers. After completing 3 centers we took our Post-Theme test. We then learned a new cursive letter; E! The students did such a nice job being quiet and working hard that we got to have 10 minutes of free time before social studies! They then cleaned up so fast that we were ready in no time! Our morning ended with our Washington D.C. groups. We actually finished our posters! The only thing left, for some groups, is to type their paragraphs. Wow! After lunch we read Harry Potter for a bit and then switched for math. We continued working with probability and focused on predicting today. We made predictions about how many times a flipped coin would land on heads and tails. We also made predictions about a colored spinner. We completed some workbook pages together and then worked in partners to predict how many times we would roll a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6. Many of our predictions were right! After math we went to library and finished the day with our book buddies.

The homework for tonight is to read Abuela, complete Math 26-3, and return the Sock Hop form (if you plan to attend!). Remember to turn in those yearbook order forms if you would like to purchase one!
