Thursday--Miss Calderone's class

Today was a super busy day! We started the day writing in our May journal about why it is important to read over the summer and then corrected our D.L.P. After sharing our journals we completed 3 centers. After centers we finished reading Beginner's World Atlas and filled in the rest of our packet. The students took their packet home to look over and will turn them in tomorrow. We then went out into the hallway to present our Washington D.C. posters! The students read their paragraphs and showcased their projects. Everyone did an excellent job. We finished the morning with a "secret project"! After lunch we got our take home folders ready to go and then switched for math. We reviewed plotting coordinates and learned about a line graph. We made one together and then worked in our math book. We not only practiced drawing one, but also practiced reading it. After that we had science. We finished reading the chapter and discussed earthquakes, landslides, and volcanoes! Our day ended with P.E.

The homework for tonight is to read/study Beginner's World Atlas, spelling packet/study, math 27-4/study. We will have another test filled Friday but again, the students will do fine!
