Tuesday--Miss Calderone's class

Today our day started with correcting our D.L.P. and writing in our May journals. After sharing we learned a new cursive letter: H. After practicing a bit we learned about 4 new verbs; ran, run, come, and came. We used them in sentences and then decided whether they told about the past or present. We completed a grammar sheet with a partner and then regrouped to correct it. We then read some more or "Beginner's World Atlas" while filling out our fact/fiction packet. We will have the story done on Thursday so we can use the packet to study before the test. After that we completed 3 centers. Our morning ended finishing our Washington D.C. paragraphs. We are done! After lunch we headed straight to math. We reviewed range and mode and then learned about median. The most important thing that the students need to remember with median is that they MUST put the numbers in order from smallest to largest before finding the middle number. After math we went to art and finished the day with science. We reviewed erosion by completing a sheet together and then watched a short movie on Earth.

The homework for tonight is to read Beginner's World Atlas, complete math 27-2, bring book fair money, bring your sock hop form, and bring in any late yearbook payments. Also your completed starfish should be brought tomorrow if you forgot it today!
