Monday in Mrs. Walter's Class

Today we started out in journals. We wrote about how we feel when we are alone. We talked about our spelling words and how when we drop a y off a word we add -ied. We talked about how that ending can make two different sounds. We worked in Daily 5 next. We learned about listen to reading and made an I chart. Then we worked in centers for about an hour. I was able to do guided reading today. The students did a great job in centers. After centers we completed some workbook pages and we took a pre-test for spelling. Make sure to study those words for Friday. After that we went to music class. After lunch/recess we dove into our math books. We worked on subtraction for awhile. After that we got into science for a bit and talked about volcanoes and landlides some more. We ended our day in social studies talking about Kids Care Programs.
