Thursday in Mrs.Bognetti's Room

We did a lot of work today! This morning we reviewed suffixes and how to break words with suffixes into syllables. We discussed what the suffixes -ful and -less mean. We reviewed our word wall words and vocabulary words. In class we turned in a couple of worksheets, but the students need to finish one on visualizing what they read. We completed a sheet on using pronouns. The students re-read The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash when they worked on a scavenger hunt for that story. We completed two centers and got to use computers today. Then, we switched book buddies today. This afternoon, we practiced more double-digit subtraction. The students have a sheet to finish for homework. They will have a test coming soon! I am sending home another math facts packet...this time for subtraction! It will be due on February 12th. In Science, we re-read our lesson on Heat. We completed one worksheet together, and the other is for homework. At the end of the day, the students went to music class.
