Today we started our day writing in our journals about things we have a plethora of (we're working on vocabulary words). After sharing we learned the new cursive letter, w. We then had our spelling test. We continued by completing 3 centers. Before our third center we reviewed abbreviations and completed a grammar sheet independently then corrected it together. Our morning ended with our reading test and a worksheet that had scrambled -oo words that the students needed to figure out! After lunch we silent read and then went to math. In my class, we reviewed double digit addition using white boards and then used our knowledge to complete a Halloween mystery sheet! The students found the sums of numbers and the letter that coincided to reveal a hidden message. When we regrouped with had science. We reviewed physical and chemical changes by creating a list in our science journal. We had a little time to work on a review sheet, but will finish it next time we have science. Our day ended with P.E.
The homework for tonight is to complete the math sheet that was assigned according to the class you're in and study for the social studies test tomorrow!
