Tuesday in Mrs. Bognetti's Class

This morning we reviewed contractions again and what words they are made from. The students have one page of spelling homework. We discussed this week's vocabulary words and their meanings. We talked about letter carriers and what they do. We read Good-bye, Curtis. We compared how things were the same and different from the time Curtis started his job with the present time. We completed our DLP and two centers. The students have a two-sided workbook page for English to complete for homework. In Social Studies we read about some national symbols (bald eagle, Uncle Sam, liberty bell) and created them out of construction paper. We also talked about monuments and how they can honor a person or event. The students have one page of Social Studies homework. They also are bringing home their vocabulary cards to start studying for the test on Thursday. In math, we started regrouping in the tens column of a 3-digit math problem. The students have one page of homework to finish.
